As a volunteer you must meet certain requirements to be accepted. Then you will be trained to react with confidence to all sorts of emergency situations;
including, childbirths, hazardous waste spills, and fires. sweaty, strenuous, dirty and often in hazardous conditions. But then the rewards are incredible, that is if you consider respect and appreciation rewards enough. Saving a neighbor's home from burning to the ground, saving a child from injury or possible death, or acting with courage in the face of danger.
