The City Administrator is the Mayor and Board of Aldermen's chief policy advisor and is responsible for assuring that the goals of the Mayor and City Council are achieved by directing day-to-day operations, preparing the budget, and coordinating the work of department heads. The City Administrator is appointed by the Mayor with the approval of a majority of the Board of Aldermen.
