On May 9, 2025, the City of St. Robert held the Grand Opening and Official Lighting of the St. Robert Route 66 Neon Park and since then, the Park has been gaining a great amount of attention. On opening day, over a thousand visitors came to the park to see the lights come on for the first time and since then, the parking lot has remained full. Just today as we were at the Park, two ladies came to the park, they were a mother and daughter, one from Louisiana and the other from Ohio. After spending about 20 minutes in the park they started to go back to their car but, before they left, they thanked us for making the Neon Park and preserving the signs from the past.

Today marks another step towards the completion of the St. Robert Route 66 Neon Park as the Story Boards are getting installed. Each sign in the park is original to an existing business that was on Route 66 in Missouri. The signs were restored and are now located here in St. Robert so each story board will tell a little bit about the history of the sign and the business it came from. We love the fact that we have a park that will stand the test of time and one that has historical significance for many people as they travel through St. Robert.

As we work to complete the Neon Park, we look forward to finishing the park by adding the selfie spot as well as the Brick Sponsorship Wall. We are hopeful that our Route 66 Neon Park will continue to be visited as tourists travel Route 66, boosting our local economy through tourism dollars.
