The City of St. Robert was honored to participate in a recent proclamation signing recognizing April 2026 as Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Mayor James Breckinridge joined Associate Judge Michael Headrick, along with representatives from CASA of South Central Missouri, including leadership, advocates, area supervisors, and volunteers, to formally present the proclamation.

This important recognition highlights the collective responsibility of the community to protect children and support families. CASA of South Central Missouri plays a critical role in advocating for abused and neglected children, ensuring their voices are heard and their best interests are represented within the court system.

The proclamation also emphasizes the importance of community partnerships in preventing child abuse. Through collaboration among families, schools, social service agencies, faith-based organizations, law enforcement, and local businesses, meaningful progress can be made in creating safe and supportive environments for children.

The City of St. Robert encourages all residents to take part in raising awareness, supporting local organizations like CASA, and remaining vigilant in protecting the well-being of children in our community.

Together, we can make a difference and help ensure that every child has the opportunity to grow up in a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.
