Ramp

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has announced that the ramp from Business Loop 44 to westbound Interstate 44 at Exit 159 in St. Robert will close beginning Tuesday, April 14, at 7:00 a.m. The closure is expected to remain in place through the end of June, weather permitting.

This closure is part of a larger project to improve safety and drivability along the I-44 corridor. Planned improvements include widening and extending the westbound on-ramp at Exit 159, as well as the addition of climbing lanes in each direction between Exit 159 and mile marker 157.2.

The ramp has experienced intermittent closures since late March to accommodate daily blasting operations. Beginning April 14, the ramp will be closed around the clock while contractors complete the next phase of construction. Motorists who typically use this ramp will need to plan for alternate routes during the closure period.

All work is weather permitting and subject to change. Drivers are encouraged to use caution in the work zone, follow posted signage, and allow additional travel time when traveling in the area
