UPCOMING TRAFFIC ADVISORY, I-44 / EXIT 159 CONSTRUCTION OPERATIONS
Pulaski County, Missouri, and surrounding area citizens, PLEASE READ and SHARE.
Beginning Monday, March 30, 2026, construction operations near Interstate 44 at Exit 159 in St. Robert will begin affecting traffic in and around that area.
Based on information provided by MODOT, this project will include preshot blasting operations on the westbound side of I-44 near the 159-mile marker. These operations will require temporary rolling roadblocks and traffic stoppages, and they are expected to impact normal travel for motorists throughout the area and could last up to 30 minutes or more.
WHAT TO EXPECT: BIG BIG BOOMS to clear rock.
**Tuesday March 31st OR **Wednesday April 1st, approximately 8 am until complete, AND **Friday, April 3rd, AND **Monday April 6th 8 am until complete.
• Temporary traffic stoppages on Interstate 44.
• Rolling roadblocks may occur between the 150 eastbound ramp and the 169 westbound ramp.
Temporary closures or traffic interruptions will also affect:
- Old Route 66.
- St. Robert Boulevard - West End
- I-44 East and West bound
**After each operation is complete, Old Route 66 will immediately be opened back up as long as there is no rock debris.
** Expect increased amounts of traffic on these roads throughout these time periods.
** The westbound ON-RAMP at Exit 159 is NOW CLOSED and is expected to be closed for approximately 74 days.
IMPORTANT:
If you travel this area regularly for work, school, appointments, Fort Leonard Wood, or daily business, plan ahead.
* Leave earlier than normal.
* Expect delays.
* Use alternate routes when possible.
* Please be patient as we go through construction as these improvements are badly needed and will be beneficial once completed.
* Emergency service agencies are coordinating a regional public safety response plan to reduce the impact on emergency services and keep response times as efficient as possible.
WHAT WE ASK FROM THE PUBLIC:
• Avoid the Exit 159 area during known blasting times if possible
• Expect delays, show patience, & drive carefully.
• Use alternate routes when practical.
• Leave earlier than normal if you must travel through the area.
• Be patient with construction crews and traffic control personnel.
• Continue calling 911 for emergencies as normal.

Due to the extremely hot and humid weather we are all experiencing, the City of St. Robert Sanitation Department will be starting their routes at 6:00 AM daily beginning on Thursday, July 2nd. We know that this change may be inconvenient to our patrons but, it is necessary for the safety and welfare of our city employees. We thank you for your flexibility and understanding.

In observance of Independence Day on Saturday July 4th, the St. Robert Transfer Station will be making changes to their normal operational schedule. Routes normally scheduled for Thursday and Friday will be moved forward one day to Wednesday and Thursday. They will NOT have recycling routes that week and the Transfer Station will close at 1 PM on Friday.

Candidates shall not have any ethical or business conflicts of interest by representing clients who are adverse to the City of St. Robert, specifically, or to cities in Missouri generally.

UPDATE: Tyler is back up and running so the online bill pay link should be active and working correctly.
The City of St. Robert is very sorry to announce that our Utility Billing Department is experiencing issues with our billing software as Tyler is experiencing a state-wide outage in Missouri. Because of this, our online bill payment system is not working at this time. We are able to assist you over the phone by calling 573-451-2000 then press *1100 or in-person at City Hall. Customers will need to have their utility bill or their account number and the amount of payment as we cannot look up this information in the Tyler System. We appreciate your understanding and patience as Tyler is attempting to resolve this issue.
I want to inform everyone that due to technical difficulties, our utility bills have been delayed. They should have already gone out, and we understand the inconvenience this may cause. At this time, we do not expect the bills to be sent until Monday, December 8.
